Facility managers can now prove energy savings to administrators by implementing Events2HVAC in up to 50 rooms for 60 days, free of charge. Streamside Solutions is offering a free 60-day trial of the software that pulls data from event scheduling software such as Dean Evans EMS, CollegeNet R25, AsureSpace ResourceScheduler, and EmergingSoft MeetingPlanner, and sends commands to building automation systems to automatically control heating, cooling and ventilation (HVAC) based on schedules.
Events2HVAC saves energy by running HVAC systems only when events are scheduled in specific rooms, returning them to unoccupied status after each event. It also saves labor by eliminating redundant data entry and human error related to scheduling HVAC systems. Events2HVAC is currently in use at 16 colleges, universities, churches and government agencies across the United States.
Many facility managers know that Events2HVAC will save them energy and labor, but they have not been able to gain administrative support to purchase the software. The free 60-day trial is designed to address this problem.
To fully take advantage of this opportunity, facility managers should follow these steps:
Contact Streamside Solutions to let us know that you want to take advantage of the free 60-day trial. Email email@example.com or call (888) 320-4277 ext. 1.
Choose a set of 50 rooms or less that will benefit from Events2HVAC integration. Rooms with lower occupancy rates will benefit the most, but you might want to include a variety of types of rooms in your selection.
Gather historical energy use data for your selected rooms. You will need this for comparison to prove energy savings after Events2HVAC is implemented.
Choose a server for Events2HVAC. This can be the same server as your room scheduling software or a different server on the same network.
Install and setup Events2HVAC. We have detailed procedures for helping you through every step of the installation and setup process, including checklists, online help, and knowledge base articles. We can also help you via computer and/or phone with this process.
Track your energy and labor savings for 60 days based on reduced runtime of HVAC equipment and/or less time spent entering schedules into building automation systems and reacting to changing schedules.
Calculate ROI, projected annual savings, or other metrics. You may also want to estimate savings over a larger portion of your campus. Present your energy savings data and estimates to your administrator(s) and ask them to support the purchase of Events2HVAC.
Remember, you need to get a purchase order sent to Streamside Solutions before day 60 in order to keep your Events2HVAC implementation running.
