COVID-19 has taken a toll on everyone and every organization. We realize that many organizations would like to implement Events2HVAC but are facing budget shortfalls that make it difficult to move forward. Yet with COVID restrictions limiting building use in many areas of the US, the savings potential of using Events2HVAC is higher than ever before.
Let’s use colleges and universities as an example:
The average college classroom was empty 30-50% of each day before COVID-19. Since many classes are now online, classroom “unoccupied” time has likely increased on many campuses. Student unions, theaters, gymnasiums, and other facilities are also empty more often. Yet most universities and community colleges are running HVAC in these classrooms all day as if they were occupied, wasting a lot of energy and money.
Colleges and universities using Events2HVAC prior to COVID-19 reported energy savings of 50-75 cents/sqft/year when they switched from daily building schedules. Energy costs generally range from $1.50 – 2.50/sqft/year in higher education facilities, so this is a significant reduction. But we expect the savings will be higher for 2021.
Though the numbers will be different for churches, K-12 schools, convention centers, and other types of facilities, reduced building use will invariably increase energy savings with Events2HVAC.
We know that this is a difficult time to act. It feels like we are all holding our collective breath. But we also know that Events2HVAC can help many types of organizations save money and get through these tough times.
Therefore, to help you capture energy savings in 2021, we are offering a 50% discount for one year on all new Events2HVAC subscriptions of at least 100 rooms.
