One of the primary benefits of Events2HVAC is to reduce “occupied” runtime of HVAC equipment to save energy. Starting with v1.8, users will be able to view a pivot table or chart that quantifies the runtime savings they are achieving.
Here is an example:
When viewing runtime savings results in Events2HVAC, users can group the data in different ways depending on how items in the software are grouped. For example, you can look at results for an entire campus, an individual building, or a specific type of equipment.
By default, the results are displayed by year and month as shown in the example above. From left to right the columns show data for:
Of course, in order for Events2HVAC to calculate this data, you will need to enter baseline schedules for your buildings and/or equipment. If you have been using Events2HVAC for a while, you may need to backtrack a bit to determine what the daily or weekly building schedules were before you began using it. Or you may have backup schedules stored in your HVAC controls that you can use. Either way, some effort will be required to enter baseline schedules in order to calculate runtime savings.
