What is a Device Interface?
The device interfaces are individual components that interface to a particular HVAC system, component, or device. The device interface is responsible for sending commands to the equipment that is to be controlled for a particular room during an event.
Multiple device interfaces can be implemented on a single site. So if your facility uses Johnson Controls, Trane, and Proliphix devices you can control devices from each of those networks.

Is your facility's HVAC system not shown?
In most cases if you are currently using one of the major commercial HVAC vendors products, there is a path to allow communication with one of our device interfaces. In some cases additional hardware or software may be required on older legacy systems.
If you would like us to consider another HVAC interface please give us a call and we'll investigate it for you.

What if you don't have an HVAC system or your HVAC system is proprietary?
You can leverage the logic in Events2HVAC to make your scheduling of HVAC equipment decisions for you on a daily basis. You can have Events2HVAC send out a daily equipment command report email to your facility scheduler automatically. That person can use that information to physically turn on or off equipment at the appropriate times. You can also tell events2HVAC to send out an email to that person every time a specific piece of equipment or thermostat needs to be turned on or off.
Obviously this isn't the ideal way to operate, but it would give that person the timely information to maximize their facility's energy savings throughout the day without the guesswork.
