The main Events2HVAC application consists of a client component and a server component.  The server component handles the daily commands to the device interfaces according to the events that are occurring in the rooms. Event providers are the interfaces to various event management software vendors.  Only one event provider can be used per Events2HVAC installation. The event provider is responsible for querying data from the event system so that commands can be scheduled at the appropriate times.

The device interfaces are individual components that interface to a particular HVAC system, component, or device.  The device interface is responsible for sending commands to the equipment that is to be controlled for a particular room during an event.

Multiple device interfaces can be implemented on a single site.  So, if your facility uses Johnson Controls, Trane, and Proliphix devices, you can control devices from each of those networks with EVENTS2HVAC.

In most cases if you are currently using one of the major commercial HVAC vendor products, there is a path to allow communication with one of our device interfaces.  In some cases additional hardware or software may be required on older legacy systems.
